Epic Games Store

Over a year and half I worked closely with developers and designers at Work & Co as well as Epic Games to add new features, improve the UX and scale the Epic Games Storefront.

A whole new storefront

Epic Games began to develop a PC storefront and launcher so users worldwide could purchase and play games, including the infamous Fortnite.

As of January 2020, the EGS has reached 108M PC customers and $680M in-store spending.

Scale & Ship

As the storefront grew rapidly, we had to design a system that would allow for thousands games to live on the EGS. Making it easy for users to browse all games as well as discover new, free, popular or featured games was critical. We also had to develop several new features from the ground up to meet user expectations.

Playing HUB

The Epic Games Store online is a storefront but on the launcher is a storefront attached to an application where users can purchase and instantly install and launch games. We updated the library to allow for personalized layout preferences and added new features including wishlist and coupons to help users manage their games.

The Epic Game Store is constantly evolving and becoming more robust with each month. Stay tuned at epicgames.com to see what’s new.
